Denise Buchan - Director
Denise is one of the UK’s highest performing recruitment professionals and has spent over 20 years with Reed and Huntress Search. During this period she has been responsible for running some of the largest and most successful offices, regions and clients in the industry winning numerous industry accolades and awards along the way.
Having successfully operated at the top of the industry for so long and witnessed the slow decline of ethics and integrity in the recruitment business, Denise has established Classic Consulting in order to ‘do things better’. She and her fellow founders passionately believe that it is possible to combine ethics and integrity in business and still make a commercial success of it. The result is Classic Consulting.
Very much ‘hands on’, Denise will be spearheading client and candidate relations at Classic Consulting and is available personally 24/7 to discuss your next career move or vacancy.
Gemma
Blake - Manager, Temporaries Division
Gemma has worked extensively in the Sussex area for the last six years and successfully worked with an array of clients across all disciplines. Gemma has forged strong client relationships with both SMEs and global organisations across a diverse range of industries. Gemma’s experience includes creating and implementing high volume recruitment campaigns for blue chip clients in Sussex to working intimately with clients and candidates on niche requirements. Gemma is well known and respected locally and has a reputation for delivering first class, tailored solutions to her clients. She is a highly knowledgeable recruiter having won several awards in her career to date.
Angela Potter - Manager, Permanent Division
Having spent the last 14 years working for some of the region’s largest recruitment businesses where she was consistently the highest performing consultant, Angela is one of the most experienced, successful and respected recruitment professionals in Sussex and will help manage the growth and strategic direction of the Brighton-based permanent team. Angela represents the epitome of a professional recruitment consultant and reflects all of the quality values we at Classic Consulting.
Sarah
Nicholas - Senior Permanent Consultant
Sarah is a highly experienced commercial recruitment professional, having worked at a very high level in the industry for over a decade. With exceptional knowledge of the local recruitment landscape and impeccable attention to detail, Sarah will add a wealth of value to your recruitment campaign.
Sarah specialises in commercial, property, travel, banking, insurance,
financial services, legal, finance and HR roles. She has also managed
large national accounts through 2nd tier suppliers and is known for exceeding
KPI's and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and candidates
alike.
Ian Lane - Consultant
Ian joins our team as a Consultant. Ian is a natural relationship-builder and works to very high standards of client and candidate care. Ian has extensive knowledge of the Brighton area and can work in partnership with you manage your short and long term recruitment objectives.
Ian will be an asset to your recruitment campaign though his attention to detail and commitment quality and high standards of professionalism.
Shanade McCelland- Consultant
Shanade joins our team as a Consultant, bringing with her a wealth of relationship building experience. Shanade is intelligent, approachable and highly customer-focused, with the ability to build excellent rapport with clients and candidates alike.
Shanade prides herself on her ability to go above and beyond any tasks set of her, and is incredibly detail oriented. Shanade will be an asset to your recruitment campaign, ensuring the right candidate match for your role and company.
Rachel Rees-Collins - Account Manager
Rachel has an extensive background in recruitment, with over 7 years in the East and West Sussex region. Rachel has worked on single, multiple and ongoing recruitment campaigns for a diverse range of clients, from independent local firms and small businesses, to clients in the public sector through to national and international blue chip organisations.
Rachel is a highly personable and professional Account Manager who adopts a thoroughly consultative approach for both her clients and candidates. As a result, she has built a solid reputation for delivering excellent levels of service and identifying the best possible candidates in the market.
Karin Ramsay - Resourcer
Karin is a Graduate of the University of Sussex and joins us as Recruitment Resourcer. Karin has a strong background in candidate care, screening and referencing. Confident and articulate, Karin has experience working with candidates and clients at all levels.
Karin is a creatively minded, empathic and highly motivated Resourcer and is an asset to the Classic Consulting Team.
Sara Walton - Compliance Coordinator
Sara has over 6 years experience in the recruitment industry, with a strong background in candidate screening and referencing. Sara brings with her a wealth of compliance knowledge and her primary responsibility is to work with our recruiting teams to streamline the recruitment activities of our clients in a way that supports their ultimate hiring goals.
Confident and articulate, Sara has experience dealing with candidates and clients at all levels and is an asset to the Classic Consulting Team.
